WOLFEBORO — The Wolfeboro Historical Society hosts the annual Historic Figures Tea from 2 to 4 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 20, in the 1820 Barn at the Clark Museum Complex.
In honor of the country’s 250th anniversary, famous Revolutionary War characters, including Elizabeth “Betsy” Ross, George Washington, Benjamin Blake, Gen. Marquis de Lafayette, Lady Frances Wentworth and Abigail Adams, will rotate from table to table, serving pastries and tea, and engaging with the audience.
This event is an annual fundraiser to preserve the museum's authentic one-room schoolhouse, but it’s also about having fun and learning about the country’s historic past.
Rain or shine, doors open at 1:40 p.m, and the event will begin promptly at 2 p.m.
