MEREDITH — Join jeweler Joy Raskin at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen Meredith Fine Craft Gallery on Saturday, April 23, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to learn the art of soldering.
This class is suited for anyone who has wanted to learn soldering or improve their soldering skills, or isn't sure how to set up their own soldering torch and tank. The class will cover the basics of how to set up a work area including torch, tank, a place to solder, and a review of the safety issues. Raskin will cover all the soldering basics from butt joints to stick soldering. There will also be hands-on soldering to help students gain confidence in their skills.Â
Students should bring the materials fee for the instructor, a bagged lunch and any metal that they have on hand or soldering projects to be finished to class.
Space is limited and preregistration is required.
To register, call the gallery at 603-279-7920 or stop by 279 Daniel Webster Hwy. For more details, visit meredith.nhcrafts.org/classes.
