LACONIA — The Lakes Regional Planning Commission is updating the Lakes Region Master Plan. This initiative will serve as a framework to help shape the future of the region and reflect commitment to supporting vibrant, sustainable, and resilient work that strengthens communities in the Lakes Region.Â
Under state statute RSA 36:47, each regional planning commission is required to develop and update a master plan for the region. It has been a decade since the last master plan for this region was published. The updated Lakes Region Master Plan will address the four major land use planning topic areas of natural resources, housing, transportation, and economic development.Â
One of the first steps in the process is gathering input from people around the region about what they feel is special about the Lakes Region. What is important to hold onto and to reach for over the next 10 years?Â
Residents can share their perspective at arcg.is/0vT8H40. Representatives will also have a tent at Laconia Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, Oct. 25.
