LACONIA — The Lakes Region Rotary Club rolled out the red carpet at the Laconia Country Club last month to hand out proceeds from the 12th annual car show fundraiser. The reception was a chance for sponsors to connect with local charities and learn about their amazing work.
Proceeds from the car show, along with other fundraising events throughout the year, raised over $45,000, which was donated to 26
charities at the reception. The Lakes Region Rotary Club went all out, supporting an incredible list of organizations including Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center, the Circle Program, Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance, Make A Wish, the Cure Starts Now, Camp Resilience, Veterans Count, and many more.
“We’re overjoyed to host such a heartwarming reception for our generous business owners and the charitable nonprofits that they so graciously supported,” Rotarian Larry Greeley said during the announcement of the total raised. “These nonprofits provide vital aid to those in the Lakes Region who need things like food, shelter, and support services. Over the last 12 years, we’ve awarded more than $200,000 to our community, and we couldn’t be prouder.”
