The Lakes Region Newcomers Club held its annual general membership meeting on June 7. Trenta in Wolfeboro hosted the continental breakfast and the meeting. 

The membership heard reports from the treasurer and a couple of the special interest group leaders. They also voted unanimously to approve the following new executive board:

  • President - Schelley Rondeau
  • Co-Vice Presidents - Tracey Kolb and Sue Croteau
  • Treasurer - Sharon Verrilli
  • Secretary - Julie Palmason
  • Program Committee Co-Chairs - Dorie Sterndale and Janet Kenty
  • Hospitality Co-Chairs - Tracey Kolb and Sharon Kelly
  • Membership Chair - Sue Stevens
  • Publicity Chair - Ginger Hankins
  • Special Interest Group Coordinator - Bob Sterndale
  • Technology Chair - Curran Owens

On June 19, there was a combined meeting with the outgoing and the incoming board. The new board is ready to get to work.

Membership is currently at 531 members across the Lakes Region. New members come from across the country and are referred by realtors, the Chamber of Commerce, word of mouth and social media. 

Upcoming club events include: "The Jersey Boys" and the "Million Dollar Quartet" at the Interlakes Theatre in Meredith. Special interest groups have a busy summer full of activities with kayaking, hiking, walking, knitting, wine tasting, book club and shopping in Kennebunkport.
