MEREDITH — The Lakes Center for the Arts, Frates Creates and the Meredith Public Library are hosting “Arts LIVE!” on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Meredith Community Center. Lakes Region artists will offer a showcase.

Artists will be demonstrating, exhibiting and selling their works in mini studio settings. Participating artists include Country Village Quilters demonstrating ice dyeing; Marion Federspiel, digital artist; B.J. Eckardt, oil painter; Pam Bartlett, rug hooking; Paul Moreau, portrait artist; Jackie Henry Roy, miniatures; Marie Kelly, Zentangle artist; Mary Boyce, watercolor artist; Ann Xavier, painter and educator; Larry Frates, cartoonist, magician, watercolor artist; Tricia Eisner, potter; Pam Miller, jewelry; and Rhetta Colon, watercolor artist.

The Meredith Public Library will demonstrate the MPL Maker Space embroidery machine and 3D printer. Local children’s author and illustrator Karel Hayes will be reading from her books and demonstrating the art of illustration.

Special activities are planned for the children attending with their favorite adults. The free event is sponsored by the NH State Council on the Arts. For more information, visit lakescenterforarts.org.
