Driven by kindness and community, the Inter-Lakes Elementary School Student Leadership group collected more than 2,000 non-perishable items donated by students, staff, and families. The Meredith Food Pantry arrived with three vehicles to collect the donations. Students worked together to organize, advertise, collect and sort the items while simultaneously learning how acts of kindness and compassion can make a positive impact on their community. “We are so proud of the generosity from our I-LES community,” said Amy Sheldon, fifth grade teacher.
