GILFORD — Gilford Community Power will hold a Public Information Session on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Gilford Town Hall located at 47 Cherry Valley Road. Attendees will learn more about electric supply choices and the program.
In March, Gilford Community Power Plan was adopted by a Town Meeting vote. Residents approved Gilford joining the Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire, which is a member-governed, locally-controlled nonprofit agency.
The non-profit program is launching in October to save Gilford electric customers money and expand energy choices by offering renewable energy options. Gilford Community Power Plan rates start at 8.6 cents per kilowatt-hour.
