MEREDITH — The Meredith Public Library will be hosting a five-week sewing course sponsored by the Friends of the Meredith Library. Join sewing teacher Debra Wyman on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. from Oct. 18 to Nov. 15.

During this five-week class, you will learn the basics of sewing including threading your machine, winding your bobbin, creating a simple tote bag, and then sewing from a pattern. Registration is required and you must attend all five classes as they build upon each other. You should have your own sewing machine, though the library has three machines for use if you want to take the class and see if sewing is for you before investing in a machine.

When registering, please let the library know if you will need to use one of the library's machines. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A class list of materials is available at the library. You can ask for the list when you call to register at 603-279-4303.

The Meredith Public Library is located at 91 Main St.
