HOLDERNESS — Come join the Squam Lakes Association to relax, enjoy the outdoors and make some art on Friday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants are free to draw whatever inspires them around the lake. Coloring book pages will also be provided for some stress-free art fun.

The organization will provide paper, coloring book pages, pencils, colored pencils, crayons and some drawing reference materials, and participants are welcome to bring additional art supplies.

This program will be led by Lakes Region Conservation Corps members who will lead participants in learning about the species that are present around the lake and why they are each important in maintaining a healthy lake.

Participants will meet at the Squam Lakes Association headquarters at 534 US-3. All ages are welcome to participate, however, children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a very relaxed program, and participants are welcome to come and go as they please.

Participants should be prepared to be outdoors during this program, and should bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, snacks, and a jacket or sweater in case it gets cold.

For more information, or to sign up for this program, visit squamlakes.org or call 603-968-7336.
