LACONIA — Chesterfield Associates and Wolfeboro Dock Company will host a Dock Cleanup Day at the newly redesigned and constructed City of Laconia Weirs Beach Public Docks on Saturday, May 10. Volunteer divers from Dive Winnipesaukee will be assisting with cleanup efforts to help maintain the beauty and safety of the docks.
The cleanup will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at noon. Members of the boating public are advised to use caution when approaching the docks during this time. In accordance with state law, a berth of 150 feet must be maintained when a diver down flag is displayed. Safety boats will be on site to assist in ensuring a safe environment for both divers and boaters.
Prizes will be awarded for the newest model cell phone found and for the highest value of glasses retrieved during the cleanup.
