Registration for the second annual Green Beret With A Mission Challenge is open. This charity event is designed to give adventure athlete teams from a Crossfit or other sports background and families a test of endurance while providing a taste of the physical and mental challenges Army Special Forces soldiers face in accomplishing some of their real-world missions. It will be a fun, challenging event led by Army Green Berets on Friday, July 15.

Teams of five to 12 participants will negotiate an obstacle course with multiple stations where they will be required to complete Special Forces mission tasks that will challenge them physically and mentally. Each challenge will have two difficulty levels. After completing the course, each team is invited to enjoy a barbecue meal and mingle with Army Green Berets. Individuals who are interested in competing but do not have a team may  contact Alyssa Mosher at amosher@camp-resilience.org or 978-219-4003.

This year a limited number of spectators will be allowed. All spectators must register in advance on a first come, first served basis.

The Green Beret With A Mission Challenge is a cooperative effort between nonprofits Swim With A Mission and the Patriot Resilient Leader Institute. The PRLI operates Camp Resilience retreats in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

“We have added a few new challenges to the course this year,” said Kurt Webber, president of PRLI and a retired Army officer and former Green Beret. Dan Fielding, PRLI board member and former Green Beret soldier who served in combat in Afghanistan, is leading the team that will be running the Green Beret With A Mission Challenge. He says the event will be a unique and fun opportunity for endurance and adventure athletes, and a tough physical, mental, and teamwork challenge.
