BELMONT — The Belmont Historical Society will sponsor a program New Hampshire Covered Bridges with emphasis on those near Belmont on Tuesday, May 13, at 7 p.m. Kim Varney Chandler, author of the book “Covered Bridges of New Hampshire,” will present.
In developing her research on the bridges, Chandler partnered with bridgewrights, timber framers, bridge engineers, historical societies, state and local organizations and community members to compile extensive histories of the various bridges throughout the state.
