HOLDERNESS — There will be a presentation about World War II German Prisoners of War who were imprisoned in Stark, presented by author Alan Koop at the Holderness Historical Society at Curry Place (behind the Post Office), on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m.
During WWII, 300 German prisoners of war were held at Camp Stark near the North Country village of Stark. Koop reveals the history of this camp, which tells us much about our country's war experiences and about our state.
