LACONIA ― The 21st Annual Indoor Triathlon at FUNSPOT held on March 23 featured a sold-out field of 40, four-person teams who participated in bowling, golfing, and games (skee-ball, darts and pinball), all coming together to support animals through Funds4Paws.org. An incredible $60,000 was raised.

The top three fundraising teams were Team Kickin’ Asphalt from R&D Paving at $5,375; Team Coca Cola Northeast at $5,100; and Team I Shih Tzu Not at $3,330.14. Seventeen of the 40 teams raised at least $1,000.

Chris Martin was the lucky winner in the pledge-prize raffle, a five-day Caribbean Cruise supplied by media sponsor Northeast Communications Corp.

The Thundercats took first place overall, followed by the D.A, Long Tavern in second place and Jasmor Roofing 2 in third place.

At Funds4Paws, their mission is a simple one, supporting organizations and individuals involved in the humane treatment of animals, including those in dire situations. Last year over $55,000 was raised and benefited central New Hampshire organizations including Friends of Community Cats, Live and Let Live Rescue Farm, Old Dogs go to Helen; Kilham Bear Center, Furrr Feline Rescue and Lakes Region Humane Society.
