TILTON — White Tiger Karate recently celebrated 20 years of offering martial arts training and child development programs in the Lakes Region.
Established in 2004, White Tiger Karate has grown into a premier training center, offering a variety of programs beyond traditional martial arts.
It is the northeast headquarters for Pai Lum Kung Fu, WTK is the place for Pai Lum practitioners to gather, share, and train under the highest levels of teachers. The training incorporates both empty-hand techniques and weapon forms, offering students a well-rounded understanding of self-defense and discipline.
WTK uses the SKILLZ Child Development Program, which blends age-specific training with character development, helping young students enhance their physical and cognitive abilities while instilling core values such as respect, perseverance, and discipline. All instructors who teach children’s programs at WTK are trained in the SKILLZ Child Development methodology.
“Our goal has always been to provide a well-rounded training experience that not only teaches self-defense but also fosters personal growth,” said owner and head instructor Master Sharyl Geisert. “With the SKILLZ program, we’re able to help children grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially, setting them up for success in all areas of life.”
WTK also teaches parkour, yoga, tumbling, karate, and self-defense classes for all ages.
“White Tiger Karate was always a home away from home for me, and helped me become the person I am,” said Nicholas Dubiel, black belt and former student who recently became assistant manager. “Seeing the growth the school has seen is powerful, and with the space and programs we offer now we can help so many more people. I’m proud to be part of this school.”
