Northeast Communications Corporation recently promoted Jeffrey P. Levitan to vice president and general manager, and Fred Caruso to assistant general manager and director of operations. Both have worked for the company for over 40 years.

Levitan joined the company in 1980 after starting his career at WILD Radio in Boston. From there he moved to Springfield, Mass. and the position of president and general manager of WNUS Radio. Levitan and his wife Jane live in Laconia, and are involved in civic organizations throughout central New Hampshire.

Caruso started as an on-air personality in 1978. He has since become a recognized voice, hosting the morning show on Mix 94.1fm for over 30 years. Caruso was a recipient of the Hurst Award for Community Service. In 1987, he started Mix’s Cash and Cans program, a fundraiser for for area nonprofit organizations. Caruso is head varsity baseball coach at Winnisquam Regional High School, and lives with his wife Cheri in Northfield.
