Moultonborough appoints government management fellow

MOULTONBOROUGH — The Town of Moultonborough appointed Brennan Dwyer as its  2025 management fellow.

This management fellowship is a three-month internship where the fellow gets to work closely with the town administrator and other high-level people of the town, preparing the fellow for public service. Some responsibilities of the fellow will be to work on important projects such as revising the employee evaluation tool(s), creating a volunteer handbook, and attending meetings.

The fellowship is funded jointly by the Municipal Management Association of New Hampshire and the host community. It involves an estimated roughly 400 hours of work in total.

“This is a great opportunity to expose the next generation to a career in public service,” said  Interim Town Administrator Carter Terenzini. The town’s prior Fellow Michael Branley, had risen through the ranks of such service to recently be appointed as the town administrator for Windham.

Dwyer is a soon-to-be graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in  analytical economics. Following the conclusion of the internship, Dwyer will move to Oxford  Mississippi to attend the Ph.D. in economics program at The University of  Mississippi.

Dwyer thinks this internship is a great opportunity and said, “I am very fortunate to have this great opportunity to be exposed to public service with the Town of Moultonborough  and consider it one of the most prestigious internships I could have possibly gotten.” 

Dwyer said he really likes the area of Moultonborough and its proximity to the White Mountains  and hopes to explore those mountains in his free time this summer.
