HPM Insurance Laconia adds to team

LACONIA — HPM Insurance has hired Kaitlyn Haines and Donna McLelland to the personal insurance team.

Haines joined HPM Insurance as a risk control specialist with nearly a decade of experience within the insurance industry. She is a resource for her clients as she takes the time to explain coverage and helps them find insurance options suited to their specific needs. Haines also assists clients through the more unpleasant aspects of insurance, such as a claim or billing issue.

"I am happy to be at HPM Insurance because I appreciate the commitment to the clients and the team," said Haines. "Everyone seems to be rowing in the same direction. During my insurance career, I have been part of larger agencies where it was less personal — for both the employees and clients."

HPM Insurance also brought on personal insurance producer, Donna McLelland earlier this year. McLelland, too, has many years of experience within the insurance industry, beginning her career in the 1980s and investing time to earn the Accredited Customer Service Representative designation.

McLelland enjoys working with new insurance prospects and clients as she likes taking the time to understand their coverage needs and finding a company to match these objectives. She finds the work challenging yet rewarding, whether working with a new homeowner or helping someone with an existing home, auto, or other personal insurance policy compare their current insurance program with the many options HPM can bring to the table.

"Not many enjoy thinking about insurance, never mind getting into the details of it. That is where I can help," said McLelland. "As people's lives change, their coverages need to be updated to keep up with their assets. I enjoy diving into someone's insurance to help them find alternatives to what they currently insure and keep coverage needs and pricing up to date."

Both Haines and McLelland are based out of the HPM Laconia office but work with insureds throughout New Hampshire and New England.
