MEREDITH — The Greater Meredith Program’s Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Mike Griffin as the new GMP executive director. He has replaced Michelle Brown, who stepped down as of July 7 to devote more time on her work at Meredith Bay Corp. with Rusty McLear.

Griffin is a graduate of the University of Maine, Farmington where he pursued a degree in sociology with a minor in anthropological studies. He later went on to earn a BA in social studies education from Granite State College. He has served the last eight years as a special educator with the Inter-Lakes School District. Lynn Leighton, GMP President, in announcing the appointment said she is “very pleased to welcome Mike and the energy he brings to the organization. He is enthusiastic and accustomed to overseeing projects and managing their progress. He will be a perfect fit for the GMP Executive Director position.”

Mike and his wife, Trisha, and two sons live in Meredith Center and are always ready to explore all that the lakes region and white mountains have to offer. You can often spot them kayaking, hiking, swimming, enjoying local cuisine, or volunteering in their local congregation.
