Donald Trump has begun to worry that he might be going to hell.
Roseanne Barr recently said “Democrats are compassionate people that can’t do math,” in a new sitcom. It drew a firestorm of condemnation from the liberal “left” and praise from the conservative “right.” After chuckling myself, I thought about why it made me chuckle and recalled what makes satire humorous. It’s that there is a “shred” of truth in the statement. I don’t think anyone believes Democrats can’t do math but the fact that few if any will engage in a conversation about the monetary cost of liberal handouts is troublesome. I have written well over a dozen letters detailing how costs for government subsidies have spun out of control for decades and in particular the last decade and have seen virtually zero rebuttals on my sources, numbers or calculations. I can’t think of anything I wrote that I didn’t believe was true but I also don’t believe that I’m infallible on my analysis of the data. In fact, I would appreciate a debate on the data and analysis.
