Tony Boutin:The real problem is Democrats pitting races against each other

George Floyd was killed after excessively rough treatment by Minneapolis police. Derek Chauvin was appropriately arrested and other officers could face serious charges. What happened was a crime. It needs to be punished harshly. Since then there have been daily protests accompanied by riots and pillage in many cities across the U.S. The primary claim is that America and the American people are guilty of ”systemic racism.”

If you hadn’t noticed, the vast majority of demonstrators are in their 20s and 30s. The Great Society programs have now been in place 55 years. It’s fair to ask these protestors and every one else what good has the multiple of trillions spent during that half century on Medicaid, food stamps, public housing, rent subsidies and endless aid to public schools accomplished for America? The protest element is yelling those trillions were one, giant, pile of money, flushed from taxpayer paychecks directly down to the cesspool.

Since the 1960s, little has changed in the inner cities where the riots occurred many decades ago. These places are as crime ridden, dangerous, and undereducated as they were when bullying, addicted womanizer of all time, and loud mouth, Democart LBJ promised he would change all that. Protestors are screaming, “LBJ was the failure of all time.” The same way Democarts promise to fix it all today, financed with another half-century of trillion-dollar bloodletting from American taxpayers. Why would protestors care? Few of them pay any income taxes.

Recognizing this in your face truth means a half century plus of stagnation and deterioration in Americas most marginalized places. Virtually all of it in a strangle hold of progressive, Democratic control. Could the advocacy by the Democratic Party on behalf of blacks and other minorities have failed any worse than it has? If Trump’s a lying, womanizing, blow hard, LBJ was an even bigger one, and far more FAILED is his promises. The word “systemic” would be far more accurate to define the habit of the Democratic Party of FORGETTING IT’S PROMISES. Why? Because they all end in massive, failure and disaster exactly of the flavor we’re currently experiencing.

Public housing in Democratically-controlled N.Y. City is overrun with rats, unsafe, unlit hallways, walkways and hundreds of thousands suffer from little or no heat in winter. Last year a gold mine of $593 BILLION was spent on just Medicaid. Most sadly, blacks are still plagued by a higher incidence of chronic disease. This failed outcome is as criminal as the killing of George Floyd.

The never ending failure has never been about a lack of money. Its always been a lack of sincere, dedicated interest on the part of the “identity politics party” ( DEMOCRATS) whose political preference has been to pit the interests of the races against each other in political triangulation in hopes to WIN elections. Look back at those promises and the failure. That’s the real problem — the only problem.
