This is Trump's chance to actually act in a presidential way

Are we now waiting for the February Freeze? A deadline looms for putting together a package that will pass muster when it lands on the president’s desk. We’ll all know by how he tweets in the next few days. A miracle may occur in the Congress, however. The Senate leadership may rediscover their spines and be able to override the veto that is almost guaranteed from the pen of Trump.

He may just figure out the downside of kissing up to the ultra-conservatives who hover about, whispering in his ear. If he does the numbers, he might find he is in the minority as time and circumstances close in on him and his destructive behaviors. As he continues to posture, the intelligence community predictions, the unmet health care needs and the lack of decisions in reference to the budget will produce a crisis he is not prepared to handle.

This is his chance to act in a presidential way instead of shooting off his mouth about how Nancy is dissing him. It doesn’t take an intellectual giant to figure out who is the bad actor in this scenario.

What will Robert Muller have for us as spring approaches? Are we finally getting to the “smoking gun?” Have we finally found a connecting link between the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks? Wouldn’t it be an exercise in reality to see him resign as a move to save himself from the trouble of impeachment? Maybe it could be sold as a move to allow Pence to make a run in 2020. It might even meet with the approval of the conservative wing, so called.

Alas, I dream again. So, we must continue with our waking nightmare with only the coming campaign to amuse us. As spring approaches and the birds return we shall have some real tweets!
