Donald Trump's commencement speech at the United States Military Academy at West Point was the epitome of disrespect. He should be ashamed of himself for a complete failure of judgment. One does not wear even a ball cap to this assembly, worse yet they do not wear one with partisan symbolism. This event is about the history of the Academy, patriotism, and academic achievement by the young men and women graduating. While the first portion of the speech was routine, the remainder was a partisan rant and ramble that had no place whatsoever at this commencement. What a shame that proud parents, and grandparents, and the graduates had to endure his words, and this will be a lasting memory of the day. It was not a surprise the applause was muted, to say the least.
