To The Daily Sun,
The elephant in the room at last night's candidate forum was the absence of three candidates — Gregg Hough, Sheri Minor and Mike Conant. This was their opportunity to make their case to the citizens of Laconia, and instead they stayed home. I would say, shame on them, they do not deserve a seat on the city council.
Representation starts with participation. Thanks to those candidates who did take the time to appear and respond to public questions. Overall, the forum went well.
