To The Daily Sun,

The election on Nov. 5 will be in many ways the most important in the history of our state and country. Women's rights are at stake from the top of the ballot to the bottom. For 50 years women controlled their own reproductive care, but Donald Trump and his Supreme Court ripped it away.

Most of us know a friend who used freedom of choice to make a very difficult choice. That all changed in 2022 when the Trump Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade, the law of the land for 50 years. Now our daughters and granddaughters have fewer rights today than we did.

Project 2025, a blueprint for a Trump administration, would have negative consequences for the citizens of New Hampshire. The dangers are greatly increased if Republicans maintain control.

Project 2025 would:

1. Cause 200,000 women to lose access to free emergency contraception.

2. Instruct the DOJ to use the 1873 Comstock Act to criminalize mailing abortion medication, which was used in 63% of pregnancy terminations in 2023.

3. Criminalize doctors who violate state abortions bans, leaving women to die or unable to have another child.

4. Allow states to surveil women, monitor pregnancies, abortions and still births, restrict women to travel for health care and allow health care data to be used against patients and doctors in court.

Granite State residents, where will you stand in one of the most important elections of our lives? What side will you tell your daughters and granddaughters you stood on when everything was on the line? If Kelly Ayotte and the GOP win, they will follow the Republican playbook ... Project 2025.

This is why I am running for state representative in Belknap District 7. We saw what happened when the Supreme Court was stacked by extremists; let's make sure that doesn't happen in New Hampshire.
