I read Mr. Bruce Jenket’s letter on Nov. 5, where he indicates the Democrats aren’t concerned with the growing national debt.
Perhaps he should look into his own party first and particularly their approval of the “Big Beautiful Bill” driven by their esteemed leader, President Donald Trump. Over the next 10 years. this bill is estimated to 1. add $4.5 trillion to the debt for tax cuts targeted for the wealthy, 2. offset in part by a net spending decrease of about $1.1 trillion on the backs of the less wealthy with to cuts to Medicare, SNAP and student loans, and then 3. add in lots of interest.
Trump, with the enthusiastic help of his Republicans in Congress, is well on his way to adding more to the national debt than any other president in modern history.
And you criticize the Democrats?
