To The Daily Sun,
Over the last several weeks, I have seen various discriminatory remarks about mayoral candidate Bruce Cheney’s age.
As we all know, what comes with age is greater wisdom, more knowledge, additional years of experience, more opportunities to learn and a better perspective.
Wisdom — comes from accumulated life experience and along with knowledge, judgment, and insight to make good decisions.
Knowledge — accumulation of facts, details, and skills acquired over a lifetime.
Experience — is developed through a lifetime of learning from successes, and the accumulation of diverse experiences provide a larger pool of practical knowledge and understanding.
Opportunities — affords more time to learn and work through situations and challenges.Â
Perspective — the vision to make good common sense decisions.Â
Bruce Cheney has vast amount of years to benefit Laconia citizens and the city’s future.Â
In closure, Bruce Cheney echoes the words of Ronald Reagan: "I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience."
