To The Daily Sun,
I intend to support Bob Soucy’s reelection as our Ward 2 councilor. He has served us well.
Bob is a centrist. He is neither an ideologue for the left or the right. He is an independent thinker and a pragmatic problem solver. He will determine what the issues are and the best solutions for the people of Ward 2 and our city as a whole.
My hope is that whoever is elected to the city council will keep the welfare of our community as their priority rather than personal ideology. Those of us who had to live through the chaos of the Straight Arrow years in Laconia will understand my concerns. I also remember the recent Gunstock uproar.
Bob Soucy is a level-headed person with deep roots in the community. I believe that he will be a counterweight to more radical candidates who might be elected in other wards.
