To The Daily Sun,
Gov. Kelly Ayotte hasn't been in office very long, and she's already looking to sign off on bills that will strengthen the State of New Hampshire moving forward.
If readers are looking for examples, I just happen to have a few.
House Bill 592, which was a key issue for Kelly on the campaign trail, lowers the standards that must be met for people arrested for serious offenses to be held behind bars.
Taxpayers demand safe communities and signing HB 592 is a great start.
Senate Bill 4 creates a commercial property-assigned clean energy and resiliency (C-PACER) program.
This bill replaces the energy efficiency and clean energy districts statute.
Gov. Ayotte signed this bill on Feb. 27.
As a candidate Kelly Ayotte talked about school choice and all the benefits of the Education Freedom Account program for students who need something more than what their local public school can provide.
Kelly supports parents like me who decided to utilize the EFA program to homeschool my daughter for her eighth grade year.
As the EFA program continues to grow and evolve it will be not only good for the program but the students who depend on it to have a governor that understands their needs for a viable option for a great education and wants to provide that for them.
Gov. Ayotte understands that public education is not one-size-fits-all.
If the beginning of Gov. Ayotte's term is an omen of things to come, Granite Staters are in for big wins, safer communities, and cheaper clean energy.
