To The Daily Sun,

The 2026 town elections are rapidly approaching on March 10. After a six-year hiatus from elected office, I have chosen to file for election as a selectboard member for the Town of Gilford.

A resident since 1970, I have been fortunate to have served the town in many capacities, including volunteer firefighter, elected Budget Committee member, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Solid Waste Committee, Community Power Coalition, and the Department of Public Works Building Committee.

As a two-term selectboard member, I was appointed as the selectboard’s representative to the Planning Board and Budget Committee, as well as other town boards and committees.

If asked what my agenda is, it is a simple one: be involved, pay attention, ask questions and be a good representative for the citizens.

With the soon-to-be retirement of the town administrator, the ongoing construction of the DPW building and current challenging economic conditions, it is vital the next Gilford selectboard member is a person of experience, knowledge and a proven track record of putting the needs of our residents an valued employees first.

I once again ask for readers' continued support and vote for me on March 10 as their next selectboard member.
