Reva Tankle: No outside money behind recent Democrat ads, all raised locally

We, the Democrats of Belknap County, have found our voice. And we are using our voice to amplify messages of freedom, affordability, and opportunity.

Our messages in The Laconia Daily Sun and on yard signs are resonating throughout the county. Contrary to the statement in a recent letter to the editor, there is no “outside money” behind this. The money has been raised from donations by dedicated and engaged Democrats and independents in Belknap County, who believe in the policies and plans of the Democratic Party to address the needs of ordinary citizens in Belknap County. Ask the New Hampshire GOP if they can say the same thing.

No, these aren’t just “talking points.” There are plans and policies behind the messages (and not just “concepts of a plan”). The Democratic plans will ensure accessibility to health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, and the protection of civil rights including the rights of LGBTQ+ people, women’s reproductive freedom and workers’ rights.

Don’t let Republican politicians in Concord and Washington fool voters. We are here, and we are willing to speak out to ensure we don’t go back.
