Rep. Juliet Harvey-Bolia: Send Lisa Freeman back to Statehouse this November

As a colleague of Lisa Freeman's in the New Hampshire House, I've had the chance to see her work up close, and it's given me a good view of why Belmont, Sanbornton and Tilton are well served by her.

Lisa has served on the House Education Policy Committee, where the work is about shaping sound policy — and is known for long, contentious hearings. She's approached that work seriously, pushing for policies that are grounded in what's realistic for the families and taxpayers back home. It's careful, deliberate work, and it shows in how she carries herself on the committee.

As part of the Belknap County Delegation, Lisa has also been in the room for the budget decisions that directly affect our property tax bills. That's unglamorous work — nobody throws a parade for hours spent combing through a county budget looking for savings. But it's exactly the kind of effort that has helped keep our taxes more manageable than they might otherwise be.

What stands out most to me, though, is how genuinely Lisa listens. I've watched her hear out constituents who disagree with her and adjust her approach after a good conversation. That kind of openness is harder to find in Concord than people might think.

We need a representative who can hold competing priorities at once and keep asking what the community actually wants. That's the colleague I've watched Lisa Freeman be, and it's why I'm supporting her again.
