To The Daily Sun,

It may not be the most important article on the Gilford town ballot, but I believe Article 29 deserves mentioning.

A letter on March 3 states the purpose is to "look into ways that the town and residents can save money on energy."

The actual article says, "advise the selectboard and inform town residents of the cost saving benefits of solar energy installation on town buildings."

In other words, the Energy Committee wants to spend more money to promote their agenda. I believe our selectboard are perfectly capable of making reasoned decisions without advice under the guise of a committee. This committee is simply added bureaucracy which always adds cost to the tax base.

Well meaning advice can be given along with all other residents opinions.
