It didn't take long for Alan Vervaeke to revert to his old self. After taking a sabbatical from letter writing he actually wrote one last week that one could read without belching. But now he spouts off about a $50 billion wall that nobody is considering. Then he says we can use satellites, drones and sensors to watch the border.
Not too long ago about 150 male "illegals" charged a fence, that was being protected by border guards, while throwing rocks etc. at them. If they ignore a fence and guards that are right in front of them do you really believe that electronics will stop them?
I understand that there is now another caravan building in Honduras that will make the last one look tiny in comparison. The border guards that face this onslaught on a daily basis are in favor of strategically placed walls, fencing, call it what you want as they will force the "illegals" to areas that are easier for the guards to control.
They are also in favor of the things that Mr. Vervaeke mentioned, as is the Trump administration, which he would be aware of if he actually researched the matter.
As far as the congressmen/women from the border districts are concerned, Mr. Vervaeke apparently stopped after reading a headline as they voted to stop the shutdown and the wall wasn't mentioned in the vote. Also, the Democratic members will vote however they are told to by Nancy Pelosi or they'll end up with an office in the outhouse.
Mr. Vervaeke mentions bald faced lies by Trump but I don't recall him ever chastising Obama for the biggest lies of all."You can keep your doctor and you will save $2,500 a year." He seems to fawn over Obama as he mentioned that Trump inherited Obama's economy and that's why it's doing so well. I have to remind him that China is the exporter of fentanyl he mentioned in his letter and South and Central America are the largest exporters of heroin etc. that come through our southern border.
Now I will return to ignoring Alan's letters as I was doing prior to his sabbatical.

Great letter Dave. If we just listen to the actual Border Patrol agents who are there every day trying to maintain order, every single on of them from the top on down, are very much in favor of both a physical wall and electronic surveillance. They need both.
Clearly Dave you're incapable of research. Try doing some. Read about the issues with Bush's "fence" and read the report of the civil engineers who have weighed in on Trump's "Wall". As you sir on your winter white touchus up here in NH you clearly haven't a clue what our southern looks like. And then you want to bring up Obama?? Idiotic is too kind of a definition for you. Turn off Fox News and get our into the real world. Your President will never get his Wall.
