To The Daily Sun,

The disappointment goes on.

The Iran conflict has changed the domestic tranquility of our whole country. Now there is a potential for radicalized people to be roaming around the countryside seeking vengeance on unsuspecting citizens as payback for military action taking place in Iran. The terrorists do not discriminate who they hurt — meaning we are potential targets. However, our elected senators and representatives still vote to keep the employees in the agencies designated to keep us safe from being paid. It is the task of these agencies to keep us safe by receiving intelligence briefings and observing, evaluating and addressing various potential problems as they arise.

If there are any unpaid employees working now without pay it is because they are true patriots and believe that what they are doing is the right thing to do for our welfare and the country. I hope that the voting public remembers the failings of our Washington senators and representatives at the mid-term elections. These elected senators and representatives allowed millions of illegal immigrants in without a peep in protest and then vote against having ICE get them back out. It makes no sense unless the oath of office they took to protect and defend the Constitution means nothing to them but a paycheck and all the related privileges.

Call Sen. Maggie Hassan at 603-622-2204 and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen at 603-647-7500 and let them know how constituents feel about this situation. I think they still work for us.
