Leonard Witt: NH Republican Committee now quiet, after screaming 'pedophile'

In 2024, the New Hampshire Republican State Committee did a Carroll County mass mailing using a slanderous pedophile label against a Democratic candidate because he once sponsored a bill to protect innocent youth from being labeled sex offenders.

Now that same Republican Committee and Carroll County GOP elected officials have become silent over the suppression of the Epstein files. Jeffrey Epstein as everyone knows was a convicted pedophile, who allegedly hanged himself in prison.

His enabler, Ghislaine Maxwell, was sentenced to 20 years in a maximum security prison, for grooming and forcing young girls to be raped by Epstein. The U.S. district attorney wrote that Maxwell often encouraged the girls to underdress and watched and sometimes participated as Epstein abused them.

Then just a couple of weeks ago, after being interviewed by Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Maxwell was shifted from a maximum to a minimum security prison. The Trump administration gave special treatment to a felon convicted of helping a grown man have sex with children.

Trump and Epstein were close buddies for years. So, of course, there is speculation that Trump is in the files, which is reinforced by the Trump administration efforts to suppress the files.

The suppression is enabled by the GOP leaders nationwide and here in New Hampshire who have gone quiet after shouting pedophile, pedophile, pedophile, when it was to their political advantage.

Now they have demonstrated they will do anything to protect that political advantage, including remaining silent to protect grown men who had sex with children. Every Republican, Democratic and independent voter must also speak out or by their silence aid and abet these heinous crimes against our children.
