To The Daily Sun,

In the Bible, Psalm 14:1 says, "The fool says in his heart there is no God." To state my own version of that, "The fool mocks or hates Jesus Christ in their heart or out loud by their actions." Which also includes God, but for the sake of word limits, let's focus on Jesus. For the angry Atheist or curious reader, allow me to make the following points:

1. Jesus's ethical teachings align with secular values. If Atheists view Him as merely a historical figure, then it is logically inconsistent with their moral framework to hate and mock Him.

2. Atheists do not believe Jesus is divine, so hating Him is the same as hating a fictional character and serves no rational purpose for debate.

3. If Jesus is just a man then He is a historical subject, if He is just a myth then He is a literary construct. In neither case is hatred a rational response, rather it is an emotional one.

4. Mocking a figure signifies an emotional reaction rather than a logical one. Atheism claims to be based on reason and evidence, therefore resorting to hatred and mockery undermines the intellectual rigor they claim to uphold.

5. Jesus has over two billion followers worldwide, and Christianity is the largest religion in the U.S. Atheists attack and mock Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving's religious aspects which signifies yet another emotional response rather than rational, as if perceiving them as a threat.

I suggest readers get April 1 as their National Atheists Day, while we enjoy June, which is the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, not Pride month.
