To The Daily Sun,

Betsy DeVos, (you know, the one who has threated to remove funding from schools that don’t open up during COVID – THAT Betsy DeVos) canceled a trip to a Bedford public school on Friday, Sept. 18, because of positive tests for COVID-19. Hmmm, the same BDV who has funneled taxpayer money to private school – that Betsy? The superintendent says contact tracing has revealed three staff members and two students infected.

To quote Megan Tuttle, president of the NEA-NH: “That’s not right. If it’s not safe enough for the secretary of education of the United States to be there, the staff and students shouldn’t be there either.”

Also, FEMA is reneging on money that was supposed to reimburse schools for COVID related expenses, too. Money has already been spend, so we can’t unring the bell. FEMA is probably stretched too far with hurricanes and wildfires, I guess? Too bad, property owners of NH. You’re going to have to dig deeper to bail out our public schools.
