To The Daily Sun,
Why has Donald Trump softened his stance on Iran, making huge concessions that anger many in the Republican Party?
Consider at least the following.
From the Institute for National Security Studies:
"In March 2026, [Vladimir] Putin raised with Trump, the possibility of transferring to Russia Iran's stockpile of uranium enriched to 60%. Second the proposal provided Iran with a more politically acceptable alternative than transferring the nuclear material to the United States, or another Western country, a step that could have been perceived in Tehran as a strategic political concession and submission to Western pressure."
In 2025, Trump claimed that Iran's nuclear facilities had been destroyed, then threatened to go back in if the job is not finished. Did this scenario anger Trump's best friend, Putin? Is this why Trump has reversed course? Putin can't have what Trump destroys.
Where does Trump's loyalty lie, with Republicans and the country, or with his pal Vlad?
