To The Daily Sun,
I’m worried for our country and the State of New Hampshire. I don’t think either one is in a good place. The state and national economies, the environment, our war of choice with Iran, New Hampshire’s over-reliance on property tax for even basic services, and the Free State movement. I don’t want to fight with my Canadian neighbors, and I don’t want Greenland as our 51st state. The list of issues that bother me is far too long and getting longer each day.
How can we just abandon the Ukraine and switch sides? Is our president working for the Russians? Isn’t that treasonous? Won’t many more Ukrainians die without our support? And how can our president promise to send all voters checks, but only if the Republicans win? That’s a bribe and must be illegal.
I don’t know what to expect when I turn on the nightly news, and even then, I’m not sure who or what to believe anymore. If this is all being done by design, some truly evil people should be called out and held accountable. I would like to think that this is the responsibility of our elected leaders, but with the exception of a handful, they don’t seem to speak for us anymore. What has happened to common decency and the common good? Neither seem to be very common at the moment.
Am I the only one who feels this way? Please let voices be heard before it’s too late. Vote on Nov. 3. Voting is our superpower, and as for me, I’m voting up and down the ballot for Democrats. Make voices heard, as democracy is not a spectator sport.
