To The Daily Sun,

At town and school meetings, there was a hue and cry about property taxes. Apparently, the noise did not make it to our state representatives as they continue to ignore the broad base tax that is becoming an ever-increasing load on the housing costs of the everyday citizens of this state. State representatives would rather look at increasing education grants, decreasing state revenues, and cutting the state budget to increase the burden on towns and schools. If their interests aligned with ours, maybe they could look at the tax situation in this state and find a substitute for the broad base tax, the property tax. Why not a committee of everyday people?
