To The Daily Sun,

What is the Legislature in Concord doing? I see they are talking about school choice that may have a detrimental effect of school budgets, decreasing business tax that looks like it will only help multi-million businesses, increasing education grants to families that do not like public education, eliminating automobile inspections on all vehicles threatening those people who maintain their cars, further limiting access to various programs; but little discussions on what they can do to make life easier for the, I will say, for the vast majority of New Hampshire residents.

As town and school meetings happen, many budgets and/or warrant articles will go down in defeat as property taxpayers cry out, "enough is enough."

Meanwhile, the non-responsive members of the Legislature go on talking and/or passing bills that are no concern to the majority of us. Whether they are Libertarians, Free Staters, or satisfied politicians of both parties, they should be booted out of office. It is becoming clear that using property taxes to fund education and town services is no longer viable! It’s like being on a pogo stick that continues to jump higher and higher.

And yes, there are those who say, "we don’t want a broad base tax." Then they ask, "what is a property tax?" A tax that sends the elderly and others less fortunate than me to where? That is a discussion that will not be had in the Legislature.

That’s what I don’t understand.
