Ed Prive: Rep Thibault a responsive public servant for City of Franklin

As a city councilor, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Rep. James Thibault to serve Franklin. Every interaction I’ve had with James shows his love for our community and our neighbors, and a focus on making Franklin and Northfield better places to live.

Whenever I have problems or questions at the state level, I call James. I trust him to give me a direct answer, and if he doesn’t have one immediately, I know that he will get one for me quickly. He makes himself incredibly available, and I know he’ll always take my call so we can work together to help our constituents. One Friday afternoon while we were working on the city budget, I called James up while he happened to be shopping at Walmart, and I asked him about the state education funding numbers for Franklin, and within the hour, he sent me links with detailed numbers and graphs breaking it down for me. When I had followups, he was able to get me more information within a day. That’s responsive public service.

James also shows up to keep the city council updated about what’s going on at the Statehouse. If he can’t make a city council meeting during the legislative session, he will often send a written update, which helps us stay informed about how new laws will impact Franklin, from municipal services to education. He is an open, active communicator and a true asset to our community.

James has been nothing but a fighter for Franklin in his time in office. He has served us well and I’ve been pleased to work with him over the last two years. I know he will continue to be a strong voice for us in Concord, and he has my complete support and endorsement for reelection.
