To The Daily Sun,

In this season of giving, we're all talking about what's the most precious gift one person can give to another? So many Christmas songs sing about it.

According to Elvis, he'll have a "Blue Christmas" without you. For Mariah Carey, all she "wants for Christmas is you." Aaron Neville sings asking you to "Please come home for Christmas." In all three songs they want the same thing: time with you. So, starting this Christmas, give your kids what they want most all year long, time with you.

Those elderly grandparents or parents in the nursing home, or assisted living home? Give them the most precious gift of time — your time. While we're at it, let's not forget the one who gets forgotten so often these days: Jesus. After all, it's his birthday we're all celebrating, isn't it? So, beginning this Christmas season, give him the most precious gift ever: you. And your time.

Merry Christmas, and God bless us, everyone.
