To The Daily Sun,

Rep. Mike Sylvia finally made a good decision — to resign as chair of the Belknap County Delegation of state representatives.

After months of chaos, tens of thousands of wasteful legal bills and a path of destruction in Belknap County budgets, departments and county-owned Gunstock, hopefully we can get back to sensible management of our county.

Rep. Sylvia did not stay in this position for two years without help. Reps. Norm Silber, Dawn Johnson, Glen Aldrich, Tom Ploszaj, Gregg Hough, Paul Terry, Barbara Comtois and Peter Varney all supported Sylvia’s extreme agenda, long before the citizens rose up in defense of Gunstock. All of these reps are up for re-election.

On Sept. 13, Republicans and independent voters should use the Republican ballot as a scrub brush, and clean house. If these representatives make it through the primaries, on Nov. 8, all voters should make sure to finish wiping the slate clean.
