To The Daily Sun,

Some years ago, Lakes Region Community College offered a course called “Critical Thinking & Decision Making.”

I leaped at it because I found myself in a maelstrom of negativity with folks who knew only half the story. Surrounded by kids 40 years younger, I couldn’t wait for this class. I would never be the same — not after sitting through the movie "Twelve Angry Men." In my opinion, there’s a reason why there’s been "no public outcry" as Chris White questioned in the Jan. 13 letters to the editor. We don't have the facts.

In an age when communication is “managed” with 180 characters; when videos carry sight, sound and info within three minutes, it’s no wonder impatience reigns supreme when an act as sudden as the Fay shooting takes place.

Perhaps he didn’t get a chance to read Jon Decker’s enlightening articles on mental health. Perhaps he can take a step back like the rest of us and wait for the investigation to be completed.
