Join the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen Meredith Fine Craft Gallery from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, for a feather wool trees class with fiber artist Jean Reed. Create a whimsical felted wool tree that can be enjoyed year-round. In this class, students will learn how to shape 100% felted wool around wire stems to create a unique, sculptural tree, then embellish it with winter berries and other decorative details. Choose from a variety of wool colors to make a tree that suits one's style. The finished tree will stand approximately 18” tall and comes with a tree stand. Additional embellishments, including lights and ornaments, will be available to further personalize one's creation. Students should bring small, sharp fabric scissors, a tape measure and a pencil. Don’t forget a brown bag lunch and a good sense of humor. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by Wednesday, Nov. 4. To register, call 603-279-7920 or visit the gallery at 279 Daniel Webster Hwy in Meredith. For more details, visit meredith.nhcrafts.org/classes. (Courtesy photo)
