To The Daily Sun,

I was thrilled to read how the next generation is being offered a chance to capture the essence of what their forefathers have been fixated on for decades — the daily newspaper.

Tuesday’s article on Laconia High School being offered a hands-on experience in journalism, targeted to their specific interests, will begin to address the imbalance these kids face. The onslaught of social media options and Big Brother AI’s intrusion when the clock competes with one’s schedule can be a mighty force to forego proper use of the English language.

Journalism becomes a passion when one recognizes the value in a language that carries so many nuances. The art of separating fact from opinion comes with a commitment to get to the truth. It’ll be intoxicating in the hands of today’s students seeking a better tomorrow.

Bravo to the Granite State News Collaborative for introducing this option.
