Cindy Creteau-Miller: The right to defend oneself should never be taken away

To The Daily Sun,

It has come to my attention that an opponent has posted a falsehood about me. I'd like to take this opportunity to set the record straight. I have owned firearms since I started hunting on my parents' farm when I was 16 years old. I don't know much about the NRA, but I do know I believe in the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms. I will always support a citizen's right to defend themselves and others. I believe in the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Unlike an opponent, I will not participate in a smear campaign. I will, however, give you facts and an honest answer. I was born and raised in New Hampshire. I am a mother and grandmother who is committed to preserving NH's way of life and future.

I will support and believe in parental rights, a woman's right to choose, protecting our children through value-based education, and I have taken the pledge — no sales tax, no income tax. Thanks again for voting for me in the primary and giving me the chance to work with you to keep NH the Live Free or Die state. Vote Republican on Nov. 8.
